For any international pilot to fly legally in the UK, they must do both of the following. 

Take a short online test with the CAA, and then get temporary insurance with the BMFA. These details must then be uploaded in the Pilot Portal to be able to fly.

If you have your own insurance with worldwide coverage, the BMFA temporary membership is still required in addition for public displays such as Helifest.

First, complete the CAA registration for Flyer ID and then Operator ID via the link below. If you have previously completed a Flyer ID, it will still be valid (up to 5 years). Operator ID's last 1 year. Anyone under the age of 18 must get someone else to register for the Operator ID for them (this is the person responsible for the safe operation of the model).

Then follow the link for international temporary membership. Please use the "Wrekin Model Flying Club" as the model flying association requested on the form.
